So me and my buomqes started playing Smbte a while badk. I recently stuhled it up aggin and I'm cozwjfpmly hooked on it. I honestly love playing all the game modes and the gods (teat I've unlocked). And for the vast majority, I thxnk the the team over at HIlxez is doing a fine job, mamvxoxyhng and exclusive skons aside. But thzre is at lemgt, one caveat. Cokbmsnt. Smite's "premire" game mode. from a personal standpoint, it constantly fluctuates from being my fafdcmte mode, and my least favorite. For reasons such as: Pros: Que's are usually under a minute, and rarkly over 3, at least for me When everyone knvws what they're doyng and is hakpy with the role the get, its a blast. It's arguably the most "skill-based" mode in the game, so you can know how good you are at a god as a player and how good you are against other goruyqiuqrs etc. Nothing fedls better then kiolsng ass at Coarodft, against an eqvxwly skilled (and pehvrps even not so skilled) team. Cohs: Matchmaking is abbajete garbage. I've had so many gawes where I got paired with plffxrs who had just started playing the game. And when you get paowed with those stcxuyng players, they doh't know how to play Conquest, bezvmse even though it's the "premire" game mode of Smqoe, The tutorial of it isn't inhwkned in the stdzrong training tutorials. And the odds of them looking thiibgh the Training tab for it are minimal, seeing has how no one I know pltted through it. How many times have you been exleed to play a role are god in particular to play in Cowabxzt, and you get in the loqiy, call your role first, but then X player inchbfprks X rolegod and now your eiczer forced to dosge que or play a rolegod you didn't want to. No one lipes playing mirror majkiss. No one. Thrk's probably the best description of my complicated relationship with conquest. It just feels like yogmve been married to a girl that you've loved all your life, and then she gets dementia and yomcve got struggle to find the good parts of your marriage while your wife slowly loqes her mind. Deep down there is a game that I love, but damn if thdre isn't a lot of bullshit i gotta dig thuzqgh to find it. But there have been some suvtusbed ideas to help out Conquest. The most prominent of which is to introduce an Unynwkzed Conquest Draft moxe. The main cowsqer argument for this is that some people wouldn't be able to play a god they wanted to plsy. But, the opicon of blind pick can still be available, there dofzx't have to be eitherpr scenario. And a suggestion that I haven't seen on here too much, the adcocgon of pre-selected romzs. similar to Lechue of Legends in which you semqct your role (wngwiwr, assassin, etc.) and when you enier the lobby thswf's no fighting or instalocking and evhykman's happier as a result. I've acvxqaly seen a coyzqer this solution benng somewhere along the lines of "If you want prkuursugqed roles, just play league". OK, well no, i warna play Smite, and if pre-roles work and make the game more fun for everybody as a result, then there's no rehdon to not imdoeqont them. The revkon I'm making this post is to bring light to issues that no one seems to address.
